Gosh time flies doesn’t it? Fall is already upon us and I’m dreading the thought of winter. It tends not to be very kind to us in the upper Midwest. We are in that season when you might have a rainy 50 degree day or it might get to 70. Funny how those days in the 70’s are usually during the workweek isn’t it? Montana Vacation 2018
Well another fun filled family vacation is in the books! We had so much fun during last year’s Montana vacation, we decided to go back this year.
We are fortunate to have great friends that we can stay with who live in such a fun area. Check out the recap from Mrs. DS on them.
Of course we buy supplies for the week and leave them a little thank you gift for their hospitality upon departure. After all, we’d like to be invited back!

Let me just be blunt, it friggin’ sucked. I was a support tech for an internet provider and we had a lot of customers that needed support. Believe me, they likely needed more than tech support. Well we did it. My wife and I drove almost 2 days to visit our good friends in Southwest Montana. I was admittedly nervous as this was by far the biggest tip for our son. About two hours was the previous high mark. He totally exceeded my expectations however. I envisioned hundreds of “are we there yets” and excessive rest stop visits. He really couldn’t have been much better and that made for an excellent road trip. We did try to break up the road time by visiting a playground and stopped to get ice cream along the way. It is extremely hot here so that might have taken the starch out of him.
My wife and I hadn’t been to this part of the country before so we jumped at our standing invitation. We took lots of pics so I’ll share some here. [Read more…] about Montana Vacation 2017
